Originally in the 1991 cookbook
3 cups cooking apples
1/4 cup apple juice
1 tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon or nutmeg
- Wash apples.
- Peel, core, and slice apples.
- Combine apples, apple juice, and lemon juice in 1 quart microwave casserole dish.
- Cover and cook on high for 6-7 minutes, or until apples are tender.
- Stir once during cooking time.
- Add sugar and cinnamon.
- Stir until applesauce is smooth.
- Serve warm or cold.
